Organisational Background
FIFTH QTR Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide access to support services for professional and community athletes that supports their mental health and wellbeing during and beyond sporting careers.
Specifically, FIFTH QTR Foundation seeks to support athletes as they transition to post sport life by recognising that the path can be difficult. However, FIFTH QTR Foundation also seeks to provide on-going support for wellbeing as athletes, like the community at large, can struggle at times with mental health, gambling, alcohol addiction, drug dependency, relationship breakdowns and employment concerns to name a few. With this mind FIFTH QTR Foundation understands the importance of the need for athletes to maintain wellbeing as part of their life cycle.
Role purpose
Ambassadors must be committed to raising awareness of mental health and other societal concerns that can confront athletes, along with the benefits of maintaining wellbeing.
The incumbent will be required to represent FIFTH QTR Foundation and attend events that promote the role of FIFTH QTR Foundation, its purpose and how it provides mental health and wellbeing support to transitioning and former athletes. This is a flexible role to suit your availability as the incumbent will be contacted as promotional opportunities arise and invited to attend to represent FIFTHQTR Foundation.
The role of ambassadors is to help to raise awareness of FIFTH QTR Foundation by attending events to talk about FIFTH QTR Foundation services and promote fundraising.
