“It was tough, particularly early in my career, and I never felt like I had this sort of support before! Just knowing where to look was all I needed.”

“On Healthmate‘s prompting, I finally reached out to my GP… he’s now more impressed with this valuable online tool than I am!!
Thank you, it was a great help.”

FIFTHQTR is not here to replace the work already being done across the sector but strengthen, support and extend it. Healthmate helps up:

  • Provide 24/7 confidential support, no matter where you live.
  • Offer guidance that many players have said they wish they had earlier in life.
  • Give families and partners an easy way to find information when they need it.
  • Strengthen the connection between past players and the broader football community.
  • Make sure no one feels they have to navigate difficult situations alone.

Healthmate provides immediate access to support across many areas of life, including injury, transition, work pressures or personal challenges.

Whether you have played the game, or supporting someone who has, guidance and resources are personalised to your unique experiences.

Click “let’s chat” above and make your way to the Healthmate platform where you will have access to an easy-to-use, qualified digital tool that allows past players and their families to ask questions and receive helpful information across ten wellbeing areas.

Once you select from one of these areas, type in a question in plain English, just as you would ask a friend, and the Assistant will provide practical guidance, next steps, and links to trusted services. If it’s easier, you can voice record your questions directly through the platform.

No! At no time will Healthmate ask for your name or any other personal information.

Healthmate is only here to understand your situation and provide the information you need to help guide your next steps or connect you with the right people.
